Collaborative & Holistic Mental Health Care

Wellness starts here.

A Whole-Person Approach to Mental Health and Wellness

HWP is a concerige wellness center that focuses on the most comprehensive and effective approach to mental health and wellness; the whole person — mind, body, and environment — not just a symptom or presenting problem. It’s all interconnected and our counseling, coaching, and wellness services embody that idea.

Collaborative Care in Alpharetta, GA

HWP is a safe space created for individuals, couples, and groups interested in deepening their understanding of the whole self, including the interactions between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We are a multidisciplinary collaborative practice offering counseling, coaching, integrative psychiatry, and complementary and alternative services. Our mental health and wellness professionals specialize in evidence-based methods of practice to help clients successfully overcome present challenges, whether they are long-standing or critical issues.

Connecting Communities Through Wellness

With accessibility in mind, HWP offers in-person and online video sessions. Our centrally located Alpharetta office is convenient to Milton, Roswell, Johns Creek, and the surrounding communities. Our practice also offers on-site corporate coaching and wellness services to businesses and for events throughout Atlanta.

We are an inclusive practice. We meet our clients and each other with respect and affirming support as we explore the diverse, intersecting identities that make us, us.

Personalized Mental Health & Wellness Offerings

Counseling

Counseling is a journey of self-exploration designed to help us uncover and understand our human tendencies. By utilizing a whole-person approach, you learn healthier ways to balance daily stressors, improve self-care, implement a healthier lifestyle, increase effective communication, and build confidence.

Coaching

Coaching is a goal-oriented transformational process that raises consciousness, brings clarity to perceived obstacles, and enhances achievement/fulfillment. Coaching clients unlock their full potential and achieve their goals while building necessary skills.

Integrative Psychiatry

Integrative psychiatry offers a transformative and holistic journey towards wellness, tailoring treatments to fit each individual’s unique need. This approach blends the best of traditional and alternative therapies, ensuring a comprehensive, client-centered experience and striving to unlock each client’s full potential for mental, emotional, and physical health.

  • Psychiatric evaluations and consultations
  • Diagnostic testing with blood, neuroendocrine, and genetic options
  • Emphasis on evidence-based methods like CBT
  • One-hour initial comprehensive evaluation
  • Specialized care for mental health challenges including PTSD
  • Medication as an option, not the only choice

Wellness Activities

Our wellness activities, offered by community partners, are designed to promote balance, relaxation, and mindfulness. These services facilitate the healing process, bringing physical, emotional, and spiritual planes back to a state of well-being. Use your own body and breath for deep cleansing, boosting your immune system, and releasing negative emotions, stagnant energy, and physical blocks.

“On top of weight loss and a sense of self-acceptance and self-love I’ve never experienced in my life, I’ve gone from taking multiple medications to manage my anxiety and depression to significantly less, managing my mental health through good habits and self-empowerment.”
– Katie
“I knew from the moment I met her that she was different than some of the therapists I’ve had in the past. I didn’t feel like a weirdo. She made me feel accepted and safe.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?

If you are a new client, you may schedule your complimentary consultation or your initial appointment by visiting the contact page and filling out the short form or outreaching directly to your desired provider by calling (470) 231-5355.

If you are an existing client, please outreach to your provider directly either by telephone, email, or via the client portal secure messaging system.

Do you accept my insurance?

HWP does not accept insurance. Managed care companies were created to “manage” and contain escalating health care costs. Their bottom line is to reduce costs and raise profits; it is not to increase the quality of care professionals provide or your quality of life. HWP is solution-focused on quality of life and personal goals.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or change your appointment, we ask you to inform your provider at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session start time. Your full session fee will be charged for missed appointments and cancellations received less than 24 hours in advance.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, credit cards, and health savings (HSA) or flex spending account (FSA) cards that have a major credit card logo on it are all accepted forms of payment.
