What should I bring to my first session?
Quick Answer
Please complete your intake forms, consents, and payment at least 24 hours before your session. You’ll receive secure electronic access to these documents when your appointment is scheduled, and once finished they’re automatically saved to your chart. This gives your clinician time to review everything prior to meeting with you.
Detailed Answer
What to bring: brief notes on what you’d like to cover and a curious, open mindset.
For in-person or virtual visits, arriving (or logging in) a few minutes early helps us start on time. Parents of teens may want emergency contacts handy. New parents are welcome to bring a feeding item for baby; our office welcomes infants.
Having a valid ID ensures we can correctly register you in our system. It’s also helpful to have any prior mental-health records (like previous therapy notes, diagnoses, or medications), though this is optional.
It can also be very helpful to think about what you hope to get out of therapy in advance. Feel free to bring a list of your goals or any specific topics you’d like to address.
Arriving a few minutes early (for in-person) or logging on a few minutes in advance (for virtual) helps ensure your session starts on time and you get the most out of it.
Most of all, bring an open, curious mindset. We create a safe, confidential space where you can explore ADHD coaching, postpartum depression support, integrative psychiatry, or holistic mental health care without judgment. Come as you are—comfortable clothing, water bottle, and even a favorite calming object can ground you. Starting with clear information and a brave heart lets us build a personalized plan so you can thrive.
