The best way to find out if this approach is for you is to schedule a complimentary 15 - 20 minute consultation. Depending on your therapist’s availability, this consult may be held over the phone, via video, or in-person.
Many patients struggle to achieve complete remission of psychiatric symptoms with pharmacological treatment alone or are faced with side-effects that outweigh the benefit of the initial treatment. As a nurse practitioner, Lindsay received training through a unique nursing lens that held that “health is not merely the absence of disease” and only in the process of treating the body, spirit and mind, can healing be achieved.
Lindsay graduated from Emory University and is board certified family nurse practitioner and is continuing her education at the University of Alabama to receive her certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Lindsay draws upon a combination of pharmaceuticals, supplements/botanicals, nutrition and mind-body approaches that are evidence-based. Treatment is an ongoing and collaborative process towards wellness that honors the whole person. An appointment may include ordering and interpreting lab work or psychopharmacological genetic testing for a more personalized and guided approach to treatment.
Depression, anxiety, and the impact of trauma will be addressed in a multimodal approach. Mild to moderate psychiatric symptoms often respond well to integrative treatments and with the understanding that pharmacological treatment can be of benefit in conjunction with integrative treatments. Lindsay will provide a wellness plan that can include supplements and/or prescription medication.
Lindsay is a healthcare provider who is down-to-earth and compassionate. She believes in humor and laughter. She is a mother of three and loves reading and travel, but right now she’s perfectly willing to accept a few minutes in the morning with a cup of coffee with her husband before her children are awake.
