What is Counseling for Caregivers?

This type of counseling is geared towards caregivers who are struggling with the emotional and physical demands of caring for a loved one. When someone has to take on this role, it can be difficult to balance the needs of both the care receiver and themselves. It’s common for caregivers’ mental health to suffer as they try to juggle everything.

Many people choose to reach out to their family member’s healthcare provider, health insurance, or their local family services looking for caregiver support groups, family therapy, or medical advice. While this is a great first step – it never hurts to seek out professional counseling as well.

At HWP, we offer caregiver counseling in order to help you maintain your own mental well-being while still caring for an aging parent or loved one. Our goal is to help you find balance in your life.

We understand that every caregiver is different, so we work with you to create a care plan that fits your needs. No two clients are alike, so our caregiver counseling is designed to help you develop a variety of tools and techniques to help you cope.
