Leigh focuses on mindfulness-based and evidence-based treatment approaches.  She has specialized, advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Restorative Retelling (traumatic loss and grief), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-informed therapeutic interventions, Somatic-based interventions, and Bilateral Stimulation.  She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), a Certified Holistic Life, Career, and Executive Coach, and is in the process of completing her training and certification as a Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher.

Leigh also utilizes evidence-based tools and techniques from a variety of additional modalities including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strengths-based Therapy, and Exposure Therapy.

Leigh spent many years in the non-profit sector counseling individuals and families who have been impacted by grief, anxiety, depression, transitions, caregiving responsibilities, chronic illness, and trauma.  Leigh has also worked as a primary therapist and group therapist in an intensive outpatient program, as a primary therapist for parents working towards reunification through the Department of Family and Children’s Services, and as a hospital social worker.

Prior to moving full-time into private practice, Leigh worked for more than two decades in corporate management and leadership roles, using her social services experience and business skills to foster growth and success in the individuals around her.

“The answer to difficult challenges is not to push away or deny our thoughts and feelings, but to mindfully accept their presence and learn to change the way in which we relate to them.  We achieve this by aligning with our values and re-focusing on energy on what matters most to us.”  – Leigh
