Leigh is a psychotherapist who strives to empower clients to not only make positive changes within themselves, but to play an active role within the lives of their loved ones, friends, and communities as well.  Leigh believes that a strong therapeutic alliance is the greatest determining factor in the success of any form of therapy, and brings that mindset into each session.

Leigh focuses on mindfulness-based and evidence-based treatments and has specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for Trauma (SFBT-T).  She also utilizes a wide range of tools and techniques from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to ensure clients have a well-rounded therapeutic experience. Leigh believes the goal of therapy is not to push away or deny our thoughts and feelings, but to mindfully accept their presence and learn to change the way in which we relate to them so we can heal our hurt and free ourselves from our “stuck loops.”

Prior to earning her MSW and LMSW, Leigh worked for many years in management and leadership roles, using her social services experience and business skills to foster growth and success in the individuals around her.  She brings an enthusiasm and a commitment to help improve mental health and foster healing and independence in individuals, families and groups.
