Meet Your Psychiatry Experts

What is Integrative Psychiatry?

Integrative Psychiatry is a comprehensive approach that blends conventional psychiatric treatments with primary care, and evidence-based therapies to support your overall well-being. Instead of focusing solely on symptoms, this approach considers all aspects of a person’s life, including their physical, mental, and emotional health.

Unlike traditional psychiatry, integrative psychiatry at HWP incorporates various treatment methods, such as dietary changes, exercise, and mind-body techniques, along with standard psychiatric practices. This holistic approach ensures that every part of your well-being is addressed, leading to more effective and lasting mental health care.

Our Approach to Integrative Psychiatry

Comprehensive Evaluation

At HWP, our integrative psychiatry starts with thoroughly evaluating your mental and physical health. This includes a detailed review of your health history, as well as testing like blood work and hormone analysis. These steps help us understand any underlying factors that might be influencing your mental well-being.

Personalized Treatment Plans

After your comprehensive evaluation, we design a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. This plan may include a combination of supplements, nutritional advice, lifestyle changes, and, if needed, traditional medications. Our goal is to support both your mental and physical health in a way that is uniquely suited to you.

Holistic Care

We treat you as a whole person, not just focusing on individual symptoms. This involves considering how your diet, exercise, sleep, and overall lifestyle impact your mental health. By addressing these factors, we aim to provide care that improves all aspects of your life.

Team Collaboration

Our approach is collaborative, involving a team of professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, nutritionists, and other providers. This teamwork ensures that all aspects of your health are coordinated and managed effectively, leading to more comprehensive care.

Focus on Prevention

We prioritize prevention as well as treatment. By encouraging healthy habits and proactive wellness strategies, we aim to help you maintain long-term mental and physical health, preventing future issues before they arise.

Patient-Centered Approach

You are at the center of your care at HWP. We encourage you to be actively involved in your treatment decisions, ensuring that your care plan aligns with your personal goals and needs. This patient-centered approach empowers you to take control of your health and well-being.

Integrative Psychiatric/Wellness Evaluation

Evaluations last 60 minutes and can be conducted in person or via video. During this time, we gather detailed medical and symptom histories, discuss treatment goals, and develop a personalized plan. This plan may include tests such as routine or functional blood work, a supplement protocol, nutritional guidance, lifestyle changes, and standard prescriptions.

$335

Rate does not include the cost of bloodwork, recommended testing through third-party companies (e.g. neuroendocrine and pharmacogenetic testing), or supplements/medication.

Psychiatric Follow-up

Follow-up visits are 30 minutes long and can be conducted in person or via video. These visits are typically scheduled two weeks after the initial evaluation to review test results, develop a supplement or medication plan if one has not been started, and assess any side effects from new medications.

After the first follow-up, subsequent visits are scheduled every 1-3 months for clients who have started medication and require refills or adjustments.

$155 per visit

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It

“I knew from the moment I met her that she was different than some of the therapists I’ve had in the past. I didn’t feel like a weirdo. She made me feel accepted and safe.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?

If you are a new client, you may schedule your consultation or your initial appointment by visiting the contact page and filling out the short form or outreaching directly to your desired provider by calling (470) 231-5355.

All outreaches are returned within 24 hours, during business hours.

Do you accept my insurance?

HWP does not accept insurance. Managed care companies were created to “manage” and contain escalating health care costs. Their bottom line is to reduce costs and raise profits; it is not to increase the quality of care professionals provide or your quality of life. HWP is solution-focused on quality of life and personal goals.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or change your appointment, we ask you to inform your provider at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session start time. Your full session fee will be charged for missed appointments and cancellations received less than 24 hours in advance.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, credit cards, and health savings (HSA) or flex spending account (FSA) cards that have a major credit card logo on it are all accepted forms of payment.
